I have made more than one post about Cowtown in Wichita, Kansas.  Movies have used it for filming - families have used it for picnics - and re-enactors have used it for countless "shootouts"...

The buildings are ALL authentic - NOT RECREATIONS - and volunteers man the blacksmith shop, carpentry shop, newspaper office, and several other locations throughout the town - including the fully functional Saloon - complete with singing and dancing - and Sarsparilla! (no alchoholic beverages)

After survivng for well over a hundred years - these buildings - and even the future of Cowtown always seem to be in jeapordy.  I can't believe that SOME people think it all just ought to be sold off, relocated, or just done away with! You might want to see this BEFORE some short sighted politician screws up this Historical Treasure!
